There are many terms for the path that allows us to walk safely on many different streets. The sidewalk is known as a place meant for pedestrians and cyclists. It is also the place where a lot of important activities happen.

When it is six o’clock in the morning, the sidewalk serves as a receiving place for the newspaper being brought by the delivery boy. In addition, the sidewalk serves as a jogging place for those who cannot begin the day without walking their dogs or a five kilometer morning jog.

When it is time for regular work, the sidewalk is very friendly to those employees who prefer to walk going to their work places. The sidewalk in itself is actually a work place. At noontime when there are a lot of people out on the streets, the sidewalk serves as a stage for street performers. The sidewalk is where performers lay down a piece of cloth which receives pennies and dimes from people passing by.

When it is after school hours or the season of summer, the sidewalk serves as a playground to children who enjoy playing near their homes. Finally, the sidewalk sometimes also serves as a garage for the smaller means of transportation. Bicycles, scooters, and skateboards are often parked on sidewalks as to keep them safe from cars.
